Hey, I'm David — your Central Coast wedding photographer and the person who'll quietly disappear into the background of your day while capturing every genuine, unscripted moment.
My approach to wedding photography is relaxed and candid. Think of me as a behind-the-scenes storyteller — I'm not here to pose you awkwardly or shout instructions. I'm here to capture the real stuff. The happy tears, the nervous laughs, the glances between you two that say everything words can't.

Off camera I'm a pretty simple bloke — a die-hard Liverpool fan, an enthusiastic home cook (mushroom risotto is my signature), and someone who recharges with road trips and good restaurants alongside my wife Jodie.
But my journey to becoming a wedding photographer is one I'm genuinely proud of. Like a lot of people, I spent years in a job I'd simply fallen into. One day I decided enough was enough — I wanted to do something I truly loved. With Jodie's unwavering support, I completed my Photography Diploma and launched David Maltby Images in 2010.
Since then I've had the privilege of photographing over 650 weddings across the Central Coast, Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley — and every single one has been a reminder of why I made that change.
